Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do with excess produce? The vast majority of the produce goes home with the 30+ garden volunteers. When there is an abundance, participants are encouraged to share the bounty with neighbors in need.

When can I visit? The gardens are open during the Saturday farmers’ market and other community events. Depending on staff availability, private tours may be arranged.

Can I pick the flowers and vegetables? We welcome you to sample small, abundant items like cherry tomatoes, peas, and ground cherries. Otherwise, the produce is intended for those who work hard to grow it to eat or share as they see fit.

Do you rent out the grounds for weddings or parties? We are not set up to be an event venue. We do host occasional community gatherings to support arts and education in our area.

How do I become a volunteer? We are currently building a website, and will post an online application in early spring 2023.
